How we turned a tank into an intelligent data management hub
Kingspan Group plc is a global leader in the production and installation of specialised tanks for storing liquids, including diesel, AdBlue® and various technical substances. Operating in over 80 countries, the company manages a network of more than 200 production facilities worldwide.
The collaboration with XTrack addressed Kingspan’s growing need to digitize its product portfolio and enrich its commercial offering with advanced telematics and IoT solutions. Our goal was to create a comprehensive system that monitors liquid levels in tanks and enables intelligent, real-time remote management from anywhere in the world.
Results of the collaboration:
- Watchman® Access – a fuel terminal designed and manufactured by XTrack for remote fuelling control and liquid level monitoring across multiple economic sectors. It comes with a complete, cloud-agnostic IoT platform for managing field-based fuel tanks and dispensers.
- Deployment across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud infrastructure – for full scalability and flexibility
- Close cooperation with Kingspan’s R&D team – enabling development of tailored front-end and mobile applications
- Ongoing development support from XTrack – new features delivered in response to evolving client needs

Watchman® Access
This modern and reliable RFID-enabled terminal that, when paired with the dedicated software, enables companies to effectively manage fuel and AdBlue® consumption – whether at stationary or mobile distribution points.
With Watchman® Access you can:
- Identify users via RFID cards
- Authorise fuelling (e.g., driver/vehicle, employee/contractor)
- Remotely activate and deactivate access cards
- Manage mobile tanks remotely
- Precisely assign dispensed fuel volume to specific users and vehicles
- Access online reports and real-time data
- Track tank locations via GPS
The integrated telematics platform works in conjunction with the terminal to deliver detailed insights into each tank:

- Consumption
- Real-time tank location
It also offers alert summaries, event history, customised reports, and full API integration with the client’s software. The platform currently supports over 5,000 users and 50,000 active IoT devices.
